Specialty Chemotherapy Infusion Registered Nurse (RN2)

About the role

The University of Miami Health Center seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN2) specialized in chemotherapy and infusion services. The RN will deliver patient‑family centered care in an outpatient oncology setting, ensuring safety, quality, and cultural competence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and chemotherapy injections and infusions to outpatients.
• Assess patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans per physician orders.
• Review diagnostic tests, report symptoms, and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.
• Serve as a preceptor, guiding new staff and offering constructive feedback.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate transition of care.

Required profile

• Current RN license with experience in oncology or infusion nursing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, allied health staff, and patients.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate psychological support.
