Specialist Lead, Firm Financial Systems (UAT)

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a Specialist Lead to join its Finance Systems team, which acts as subject matter expert for the US finance application portfolio. The role owns User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, readiness and execution for finance-led platform enhancements and integrations, acting as the bridge between finance business users and technology teams. It is available in 30 US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define UAT scope, approach and entry/exit criteria for GEMS, SWIFT, Beacon, CP3 and other finance platforms, including effort estimates aligned to the release plan
• Translate business requirements into UAT scenarios, test scripts and test data, and coordinate business testers and their sign-off
• Confirm UAT environment and test data readiness with ITS, including SAP S/4HANA interfaces, and run UAT cycles while tracking progress and blockers
• Triage defects, distinguish them from change requests and training needs, and track fixes through retest and closure
• Validate accounting and financial outcomes, including reconciliations and data quality checks, and capture audit-ready evidence
• Execute or oversee integration, regression and end-to-end testing, and report status, coverage, defect trends and risks to support go/no-go decisions
• Support production support and release hypercare, and mentor and guide testers
• Support the testing lead in day-to-day coordination, run stand-ups and release check-ins, and review scripts, plans and test cases

Required profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on testing of finance or ERP systems and planning or leading UAT
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or a related field; Master's preferred
• Ability to travel 0-10% on average; limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Required skills

• Strong understanding of finance systems and processes, including SAP, client-to-cash, core finance and pricing and forecasting
• Hands-on experience designing and running UAT scenarios, test plans and test cases
• Defect triage, root cause analysis and stakeholder communication
• Excellent MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Preferred: ISTQB, CSTE, Agile/SAFe and/or PMP certification
