About the role
Prep Academy Tutors is seeking experienced special education teachers certified in Orton‑Gillingham to provide in‑home and online tutoring for students with dyslexia and autism. The role focuses on delivering personalized academic support aligned with the Louisiana curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver academic support based on the Louisiana curriculum.
- Develop customized learning plans that emphasize understanding over memorization.
- Provide remedial and enrichment opportunities tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with parents to communicate progress, challenges, and successes.
Required profile
- Current, valid registration with the New Orleans Department of Education or a qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
- Experience working with students with dyslexia and autism.
- Orton‑Gillingham certification.
