About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Spanish teacher to join our school community. The role involves creating a supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and participation in a collaborative educational setting.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver hands‑on Spanish language programs in coordination with administrators and instructional teams.
- Manage the classroom, supervise equipment, and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Assess student progress, diagnose learning needs, and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate technology and current research into lesson plans.
- Maintain accurate records, including grades, attendance, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, phone calls, and written updates.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Certification, or eligibility for certification, by the Florida State Department of Education to teach in Florida.
- Knowledge of prescribed curriculum, child development, and varied learning styles.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a core set of teaching beliefs.
