Solutions Engineer (North America)

About the role

Gravitee, a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader in API management, is hiring a Solutions Engineer for North America. The role sits in the pre-sales journey, partnering with prospective enterprise customers to understand their technical challenges, demonstrate the value of the Gravitee platform and drive growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to lead the technical sales process and convert prospects into long-term customers.
• Conduct discovery sessions, deliver tailored product demos, lead Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and give expert technical guidance on enterprise architecture.
• Work with Customer Success and Technical Account Managers to help existing customers maximise platform value and find expansion opportunities.
• Engage regional SI and consulting partners and technology providers on technical integrations.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing to shape the product roadmap from field insights, and contribute to tech talks, blogs and community initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect or Technical Pre-Sales role for a B2B SaaS software vendor.
• Proven track record engaging technical personas such as developers, enterprise architects, security teams and CTOs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex technical topics to business and technical audiences.
• Core domain experience in middleware, API Management (APIM), Identity & Access Management (IAM) or integration platforms.

Required skills

• Familiarity with REST, JSON and XML.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and Linux.
• Bonus: Event-Driven Architectures and AsyncAPIs, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, Kafka, gRPC or GraphQL, LLMs and AI agents, scripting in Java, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
