Solutions Architect

About the role

Rutter is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its Solutions team and help customers unlock the full potential of its unified API platform. This customer‑facing role spans the entire lifecycle from solution design through implementation and post‑launch success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer implementations and design technical integrations across accounting, commerce, and banking platforms.
• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding best practices for API usage, data mapping, and integration architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to influence roadmap, identify gaps, and propose enhancements.
• Develop sample apps, implementation guides, internal documentation, and demo flows to accelerate customer success.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a customer‑facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Implementation Engineer, preferably at a SaaS or API‑driven company.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, collaborative startup environment and a builder mindset.

• Proficiency with REST APIs.
• Integration design and developer workflow expertise.

• On‑target earnings of $150,000–$165,000 plus equity.
