Software Engineer – PKI and Secure Software Development

About the role

LufCo is seeking a Software Engineer to drive automation and modernization of secure access solutions for national security missions. The role involves analyzing user requirements, planning and building software on Linux platforms, and advancing PKI architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evolve next‑generation PKI solutions using commercial and government best practices.
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, Architecture, and Testing teams to define tools and processes for a continuous delivery pipeline.
• Develop software on Linux‑based platforms, including build, sprint, and deployment planning.
• Advocate for automation across build, deployment, testing, updating, and monitoring.

Required profile

• B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• 7+ years (SWE1), 14+ years (SWE2), or 20+ years (SWE3) of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C, C++, Go, Rust, Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PL/SQL.
• Frameworks and tools: Docker, React, Spring/Spring Boot, JBoss 7.x, Tomcat, AEM (Adobe).
• Operating systems: Linux, Windows.
• Cryptologic hardware, HSM, PKI architecture, and secure key management.
