Software Engineer (National Security Cyber & Analytics)

About the role

Leidos is hiring a Software Engineer for its National Security Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area in Columbia. The team works in security engineering, computer network operations, mission software, analytical methods and modeling, signals intelligence and cryptographic key management. The position carries a sign-on bonus of $25,000 and a pay range of $107,900 to $195,050.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.

Required profile

• Seven years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or four years of additional software engineering experience on similar projects in place of the degree.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• Cloud application development in an AWS environment (preferred)
• Python development (preferred)
• Linux application development (preferred)
• CI/CD pipelines with AWS and enterprise DevOps tools such as Git and GitLab (preferred)
• Microservices and event-driven architectures (preferred)
• Containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)
• Big data platform solutions (preferred)
