Software Engineer – Launch Program 2027

About the role

Mastercard’s Launch Program is an 18‑month, full‑time development experience designed for recent graduates. As a Software Engineer in the program you will work on real‑world projects that support secure, scalable, and high‑performing technology platforms used by millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code following established standards and best practices.
• Contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of software features.
• Create basic automated tests to validate expected behavior and quality.
• Apply secure coding practices and defensive programming techniques.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Use debugging tools, logs, and documentation to identify and resolve issues.
• Learn and work with existing systems, tools, and development workflows.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or accelerated Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Project‑based experience (academic, internship, or personal) demonstrating software development capabilities.
