Software Engineer

About the role

Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and musical instruments, is looking for a Software Engineer to join its growing IT team at the Fort Wayne headquarters. You will help design, build, and maintain cutting‑edge software solutions for both internal users and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to create next‑generation internal and external tools.
• Write scalable, testable, and reusable code using modern web technologies and low‑code platforms.
• Address performance and architectural challenges across the application stack.
• Own the full development lifecycle of apps and features, from concept through production.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑facing communication skills.
• Team‑player mindset aligned with Sweetwater’s core values of customer focus, detail orientation, and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ability to write performant SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Git or other version‑control systems.
• Knowledge of GoLang or another object‑oriented language (C#, Java, C++ etc.).
• Experience with low‑code development platforms (preferred).
