Cloud Data Engineer – Mission‑Critical Cloud & AI Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a hands‑on Cloud Data Engineer to design, build and support cloud‑based data pipelines, APIs and modern data platforms that enable advanced analytics and automation for mission‑focused programs. The role is implementation‑focused, working directly with cloud, data and AI initiatives across federal and defense projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain cloud‑based ETL pipelines and data workflows.
• Integrate data sources, APIs, applications and distributed cloud services.
• Develop and support data processing pipelines, database applications and data services in Linux and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cloud platform, engineering and DevSecOps teams to deploy solutions using Git‑based version control and CI/CD tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, debugging and documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in data engineering, data integration or software engineering.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, Java or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building ETL pipelines, integrating APIs and working with cloud‑native data platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, Git workflows and secure coding practices.
