Software Engineer - Implementations

About the role

WellTheory is seeking an Implementations Engineer to join its fully‑remote team. You will help build the core insurance and data infrastructure that powers eligibility, verification, and claims for partners in the digital health space.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop the insurance and data platform that supports eligibility, verification, and claims processing.
• Collaborate hands‑on with new employer, health‑plan, and channel partners to bring them live quickly and reliably.
• Make foundational technical decisions as part of a small, generalist team working at the 0‑to‑1 stage.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and increase individual impact.
• Write clear documentation to help remote teammates ramp up efficiently.

Required profile

• Customer‑centric mindset with a focus on delivering value throughout the software lifecycle.
• Proven experience making early‑stage technical decisions and building large features from scratch.
• Strong written communication skills for documentation and remote collaboration.
• Battle‑tested in building and maintaining robust production systems.
• Ability to augment productivity with AI tools.
• Empathy for the autoimmune patient experience.
• Beginner’s mindset, eager to learn and ask questions.
