Software Engineer II – Payments Platform

About the role

Join BILL’s Payments Platform team to build and scale high‑volume payment systems. You will work remotely with occasional in‑person collaboration at our San Jose or Draper offices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable payment services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
• Integrate third‑party payment providers via APIs, messaging, and event‑driven architectures.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in real‑time environments.
• Automate deployment, testing, and infrastructure using IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience building payment or financial systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote‑first environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
