Software Engineer II – Decision Management Program

About the role

Mastercard’s Decision Management Program (DMP) team is seeking a Software Engineer II to advance its customer‑experience strategy. You will work on cutting‑edge decisioning and intelligence platforms that help organizations apply complex business rules across the payment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, deployment, release management, configuration, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and refactor existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and code quality.
• Develop expertise in new technologies, programming languages, and architectural patterns to meet evolving business needs.
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team to prioritise work, contribute to planning, and deliver high‑quality solutions from the product backlog.
• Drive automation of build, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Partner with Product Owners and cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Required profile

• Experience with advanced decisioning and intelligence platforms, preferably Mastercard’s Decision Management Program.
• Familiarity with authorization decisioning concepts is a plus.
• Strong background in software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
