About the role
Join Barclays as a Software Engineer/Full Stack Developer to build and evolve platforms that protect millions of customers and transactions, forming a critical backbone of the fraud prevention strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high‑quality Java microservices and REST APIs for real‑time risk assessment and authentication.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality, and contribute to secure coding practices.
- Stay informed of technology trends and contribute to technical communities within the organization.
Required profile
- Strong foundation in Java fundamentals and experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
- Experience building backend services at scale and working with microservices architectures.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile, cross‑functional team.
