Software Engineer - Early Career

About the role

Join Manhattan Associates' Research & Development team as an early‑career Software Engineer. You will work on cloud‑based solutions, primarily using Java, and collaborate with a diverse technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design specifications for assigned components under supervision.
• Participate in designing, developing, and unit‑testing components following R&D processes.
• Estimate, plan, and become the resident expert on assigned components.
• Evaluate, resolve, and document software issues, ensuring changes do not introduce new problems.
• Create system directories, files, and execute simple commands; code and debug simple problems in the primary language.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing, supporting, or implementing application software.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or DB2 databases.
• Experience developing with C++ or Java.
• Experience working in Linux or Unix operating systems.
• General knowledge of requirements gathering, systems knowledge, and technical design tools.
