Software Engineer, Backend, Factory Software

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with expertise in server‑side and backend development to join our small, high‑performing team. You will build scalable software systems that power the manufacturing of innovative products such as vehicles, superchargers, and energy storage solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, maintainable code that solves real‑world manufacturing challenges.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects from requirements gathering and architectural design through implementation, testing, and production deployment.
• Prioritize robust, production‑critical systems with strong validation, monitoring, and support mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Materials.
• Participate in on‑call rotations (no more than once every two months).

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale projects using languages such as Go, Java, C++ or Rust.
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals including SQL databases, networking and security.
• Basic familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and at least one modern framework (React, Angular or Svelte).
• Knowledge of AI tools and rigorous software development practices (version control, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, logging).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical initiatives from concept to production.
