Software Engineer – AI Platforms

About the role

As a Software Engineer at Siemens you will help bring generative AI into real‑world products. You will design, implement and operate the platforms, APIs and services that enable large language models and other AI technologies to run at scale across hardware and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build high‑performance, maintainable distributed services.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical deep‑dives.
• Contribute to team standards and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and operating backend or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Go or Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design.
• Ability to take a problem from design through production independently.
