Software Engineer 5 – TV & Web Player Platform

About the role

Netflix is looking for a senior software engineer to own test development, automation, and CI/CD pipelines for the TV & Web Player Platform. You will help ensure the highest‑quality streaming experience across millions of devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex automated tests for playback features such as live streaming and ad insertion.
• Optimize and automate build, integration, and release workflows to accelerate feature delivery.
• Lead technical direction for test automation and mentor engineers on best practices.
• Collaborate with UI, Encoding, Streaming Algorithms, Security, and Open Connect teams to support product experimentation and continuous integration.
• Maintain high standards of quality and performance through rigorous testing and release management.

• Senior‑level software engineer with deep expertise in test development and automation.
• Proven experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
