Software Development Engineer Internship 2027

About the role

Join Qumulo’s Summer 2027 internship program to work on a distributed storage engine and related services. You’ll be mentored by senior engineers and contribute to core product features in a real‑world environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on design, code reviews, and pair programming with the team.
• Develop and test features using C, Rust, and Python, and help debug test failures.
• Contribute to architecture and design of new or updated product features.

Required profile

• At least one class, internship, or personal project using C, C++, Rust, Java, or Go.
• Pursuing a BS or BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, available for a full‑time internship in Winter, Spring, or Summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided.

Required skills

• Strong ability to write well‑factored, well‑tested code.
• Good grasp of algorithms and data structures; experience with distributed systems, databases, concurrency, or operating systems is a plus.

What we offer

• Hybrid work model (3 days onsite at downtown Seattle HQ).
• Annual base salary of $100,000 prorated to $1,900 per week, plus relocation, travel, and transit support.
• Hands‑on experience on core product features with mentorship from a small, capable engineering team.
