About the role

Join NationsBenefits as a Software Development Engineer, working on a FinTech platform that supports supplemental health benefits and member engagement solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Java applications in an agile, compliance‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features for the FinTech application using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x, ensuring clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Integrate third‑party APIs, build microservices, and work with RESTful APIs to extend application functionality.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross‑functional teams, participating in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, PITest) and use SonarQube to maintain code quality and security.
• Follow security and compliance best practices, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2‑4 years of professional experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
