Data Engineer II

About the role

The Technology & Data team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer II to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data solutions in a healthcare environment. You will build scalable pipelines, integrate data across platforms, and deliver high‑quality data assets for analytics and business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL technologies.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across healthcare systems and enterprise sources.
• Develop and support data warehouses, data marts, and analytical data models.
• Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.
• Develop and support SSIS packages and data integration workflows.
• Monitor data quality, resolve performance bottlenecks, and handle production issues.
• Support HIPAA compliance, data governance, and data security initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related technical role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience developing and supporting SSIS packages and PL/SQL code.
• Healthcare industry experience working with claims, provider, member, clinical, or operational data.
