Software Design Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a self‑directed Software Design Engineer to create and maintain Python‑based software solutions that support the design, manufacturing, testing, and verification of high‑speed electrical interconnects. The role works closely with electrical, mechanical, and signal‑integrity engineers across global manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain Python modules for product testing and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to build software tools for high‑speed and low‑speed electrical performance testing.
• Build and enhance desktop Python applications to improve capabilities in global manufacturing centers.
• Partner with engineering teams to create tools that streamline design processes and increase engineering efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and unit testing to ensure software reliability.
• Analyze test results, prepare reports, and implement software modifications as needed.
• Document software solutions and share knowledge with internal teams.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies and contribute innovative concepts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience designing Python‑based desktop or web applications.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on Python development supporting testing and validation workflows.
• Understanding of software architecture and design principles.
