Social Work Fellow

About the role

The Social Work Fellow provides supervised therapy in the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, acting as a liaison among patients, physicians, and community resources while supporting the Child Psychiatry Access Network and Texas Children’s Mental Health Access Through Telemedicine programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health evaluations and deliver evidence‑based psychotherapy under supervision.
• Provide specialty consultation to healthcare staff and manage complex patient cases.
• Assist in developing clinic triage, intake, and referral processes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement, and program evaluation.
• Support departmental research and contribute to scholarly presentations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work (CSWE‑accredited) and LMSW license in Texas.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred; at least one year of behavioral health experience.
• Experience with children, adolescents, couples, substance use, trauma, telehealth, and interdisciplinary teams.

Required skills
