Social Services Program Manager 2 – Administrative Review Specialist

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Human Services is seeking a Social Services Program Manager 2 to serve as an Administrative Review Specialist within the Division of Family & Children Services. Based at 47 Trinity in downtown Atlanta, the role supports child welfare operations by managing administrative reviews and IONS screenings.

Key responsibilities

• Process and mail notification notices for all substantiated maltreatment cases.
• Provide practice guidance to field staff on the administrative review process.
• Monitor outcomes of first‑level reviews and conduct second‑level reviews as requested.
• Oversee third‑level review outcomes and communicate final results.
• Ensure IONS screenings for child‑serving agencies are completed within established timeframes and policies.
• Deliver community training on IONS screenings and participate in statewide meetings and stakeholder initiatives.

Required profile

• Thorough, up‑to‑date knowledge of Child Protective Services (CPS) policy.
• Ability to follow established timelines and policies for administrative reviews and IONS screenings.
• Experience providing training and guidance to field units.
