Social Services Program Consultant 3 – Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention

About the role

The Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention (CANP) Program Specialist supports the Monitoring and Management of Prevention and Community Support (PCS) programs and contracts. Working under broad supervision, the specialist collaborates with the PCS Director and CANP Unit Manager to ensure contract procurement, development, compliance, and technical assistance for assigned contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor programmatic and financial activities of PCS contractors to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Office of Procurement and Contracts to develop solicitations, contracts, and monitor vendor performance.
• Assist in the development, release, and review of Requests for Proposals or Statements of Need for direct service providers.
• Provide training and technical assistance to vendors funded by PCS.
• Coordinate logistics and support for PCS staff and contractors as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in program monitoring, contract management, and compliance within a public‑sector environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with procurement teams, program directors, and external vendors.
• Strong understanding of state and federal guidelines related to child abuse and neglect prevention.
• Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
