Social Media and Digital Communications Specialist

About the role

The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Social Media and Digital Communications Specialist to lead the school’s online presence. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will create and manage content across social channels, the website, email newsletters and other digital platforms to boost visibility, reputation and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media content calendars tailored to each platform.
• Create, edit and publish engaging posts, videos, graphics and written copy.
• Produce email marketing campaigns that drive high open and click‑through rates.
• Maintain and update the Frost School website using the university’s CMS.
• Collaborate on digital advertising initiatives and monitor performance metrics.
• Track, analyze and report on social media and website analytics.
• Identify influencers, monitor trends and moderate online conversations.
• Ensure all digital assets align with brand guidelines and university standards.

Required skills

• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).

• Knowledge of email marketing tools and best practices.
• Familiarity with digital advertising and analytics tools.
• Graphic design capabilities for creating digital assets.
