Soccer for Success Instructor

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Boston is looking for an enthusiastic Soccer for Success Instructor to lead its youth soccer program for children ages 3‑8. The role includes coaching, teaching drills, and refereeing games during summer sessions on Saturday mornings.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct and coach children on soccer fundamentals, including skills and drills.
• Referee games, ensuring fair play and adherence to the rules.
• Structure each session with a brief lesson followed by gameplay.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.

Required profile

• Previous experience coaching soccer with young children.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Availability to work Saturday mornings and commit to the full summer session.

Required skills

• Knowledge of soccer rules and ability to referee games.
• Ability to teach basic soccer drills to children aged 3‑8.
