Skilled Tradesman - Electrician

About the role

The Skilled Tradesman – Electrician works under general supervision to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus. This position supports the Facilities Management – Electrical department by ensuring reliable power distribution and equipment functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, fixtures, and conduit throughout campus buildings.
• Pull cable and connect power panels to meet design specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics to layout systems accurately.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.

Required profile

• Journeyman Electrician license in accordance with ACA 17‑28‑304.
• Minimum five years of relevant electrician experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.
