Site Supervisor - Security Services

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Site Supervisor in Los Angeles. The role covers the professional operation, administration, profitability and quality assurance of uniformed security services for a client's site. Pay is $28 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the on-site security function, including staffing, scheduling and on-site training of Allied Universal personnel assigned to the site
• Ensure contract-required training and screening for security personnel are completed
• Maintain overtime to a minimum or preset requirement set by the employer
• Inspect security personnel and their performance regularly to ensure quality of service and contract compliance
• Handle payroll, review and maintain incident reports, and help prepare security surveys and post orders
• Give direction to subordinates, make recommendations on personnel actions, and handle disciplinary decisions and commendations
• Respond to client requests, make emergency notifications according to site Post Orders, and recommend productivity and cost-reduction measures to management

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass state-required training or licensing, and a state licensing test if driving a company or client vehicle
• One of: active-duty military, military reserve or National Guard service; auxiliary police or police cadet service; at least one year of verifiable supervisory experience in security; or an associate's degree or higher
• At least 18 years old (21 if armed)
• Preferred: meets the basic qualifications for a Custom Protection Officer

Required skills

• Operating radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Effective oral and written communication, problem solving, active listening and attention to detail
• Data compilation, research and investigation, and conflict mediation
