Site Superintendent - Residential Construction

About the role

New Gen Builders is seeking a hands‑on Site Superintendent to lead field operations on multiple ground‑up residential projects in Houston. You will be the on‑site point of contact, ensuring work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day field operations across single‑family, townhome, and small multifamily projects.
• Manage sequencing of all trades, including site work, framing, MEP, exterior, interior finishes, and closeout.
• Coordinate and pass City of Houston inspections, ensuring code compliance and adherence to New Gen standards.
• Read and interpret plans, details, and specifications; clarify scope with the Construction Project Manager.
• Create and update look‑ahead schedules, remove roadblocks, and keep trades on track.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites that reflect well on the company.
• Communicate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal team members.
• Resolve onsite issues quickly while protecting quality and budget.
• Document progress with photos, notes, punch lists, and status updates.
• Represent New Gen Builders professionally with neighbors, clients, investors, and city officials.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on residential construction experience as a superintendent, foreman, or similar role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of ground‑up residential sequencing and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be on‑site in Houston; remote work is not an option.
