Shift Leader - Taco Bell, Metairie, LA

About the role

This is a Shift Leader position at a Taco Bell restaurant in Metairie, Louisiana. The post is filled by a franchisee, which is the only employer; franchisees set their own wage and benefit programs. The Shift Manager supports the Restaurant General Manager by running quality work shifts and meeting Taco Bell standards, taking ownership of problems, seeking help when needed and helping and guiding others.

Key responsibilities

• Make sure Team Members complete all assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner
• Ensure the restaurant is a safe place for Team Members to work and for customers to visit
• Oversee and manage subordinate employees and give them direction
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, dusting shelves, cleaning the parking lot and grounds, and handling trash

Required profile

• At least 18 years old
• Strong preference for internal promotion from the Hourly Champion position
• Passes background check criteria and drug test
• Has reliable transportation
• Able to do basic business math
• Able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs and stoop during 90% of shift time
