Setup Machine Operator – Floating PA2 4th Shift

About the role

Join Bosch’s Lincolnton Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center as a Setup Machine Operator on the floating PA2 4th shift. You will act as the bridge between engineering and manufacturing, ensuring machines run smoothly and production targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Train directly with engineers on all processes and serve as the interface between engineering and the shop floor.
• Train, sign‑off, and provide feedback to new production associates.
• Coordinate with the shift coordinator to keep machines operating and escalate deviations.
• Load, unload, operate, adjust, change‑over, and maintain multiple machines, including CNC/HMI interfaces and robotic cells.
• Perform quality checks, clean machines (including confined spaces), conduct 5S activities, and assist in troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Communicate with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and other support departments.
• Provide coverage for absences across different areas and shift changes as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in metalworking manufacturing, preferably with cutting‑tool production.
• Proven ability to work 8‑12 hour shifts, stand for long periods, and lift up to 40 lb.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and able to read and follow standard operating procedures.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime.
