Service Supervisor – Community Maintenance

About the role

The Service Supervisor ensures that all interior and exterior areas of the community, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common spaces, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of maintenance activities and vendor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, scheduling vendors, procuring supplies, completing repairs, and final inspections.
• Develop and uphold standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, unit interiors, breezeways, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by service team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating with the Community Manager to order supplies within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the policy manual.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
• Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, inventories, and vendor schedules.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively with community staff and external service providers.
