Service Shop Entry Technician – 1st Shift (Palestine, TX)

About the role

Join Walmart's Service Shop team in Palestine, TX as an Entry Technician on the first shift. You will support the maintenance and repair of trailers and other equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with company and DOT standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on trailers and related equipment under supervision.
• Create and process work orders, assess maintenance needs, and identify required parts.
• Execute tasks such as tire dismounting/mounting, flat repairs, tire balancing, landing‑gear adjustments, light replacements, and trailer‑door repairs.
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines for all repairs and modifications.
• Receive fuel drops, conduct fuel sampling, monitor tank levels, and complete related paperwork.
• Communicate progress and documentation verbally and in writing to customers, suppliers, and team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn from experienced shop technicians.
