Sequencing Lab Technician (Research Triangle Park)

About the role

We are seeking a Sequencing Lab Technician to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC. In this role you will support high‑throughput genotypic projects that drive cotton and soybean improvement, working with cutting‑edge sequencing platforms and automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform next‑generation sequencing (NGS) analyses in the wet lab using specialized automation platforms.
• Run fluorescent PCR‑based assays (RT‑PCR, TapeArray, microfluidic platforms) with automated liquid handlers and sequencing instruments.
• Process and review sequencing data using advanced software, flagging issues and communicating with the team and Quality.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot automation workflows, and ensure compliance with SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biological, agricultural science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a high‑throughput or diagnostic laboratory.
• Experience with Illumina sequencing platforms (preferred).
• Familiarity with LIMS systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of RT‑PCR techniques.
