EHS Engineer III – Environmental Health & Safety

About the role
Applied Materials is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer III to provide environmental, health and safety support for operational, engineering, construction and facility activities at its Gloucester, MA site. You will develop and maintain EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to promote safe operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide EHS guidance for engineering, construction and facility projects.
- Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and compliance programs.
- Coordinate EHS activities with contractors, customers and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, incident investigations and root‑cause analyses.
- Support emergency preparedness, drills, and 24/7 Emergency Response Team duties.
- Prepare and present EHS reports, compliance status updates and project risk assessments.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926 regulations.
- Experience with large‑scale construction, semiconductor manufacturing or advanced technology environments.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, CEM, CIH or CSMC are highly preferred.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive EHS excellence in a fast‑paced setting.
