Sepsis Coordinator – Safety, Quality & Patient Experience

About the role

The Sepsis Coordinator will lead safety, quality and patient experience initiatives within the Office of SQPE at South Pointe Hospital. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, with no weekends or on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Direct safety, quality and patient experience work within assigned scope.
• Coordinate and implement improvement initiatives using the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and achieve favorable performance metrics.
• Manage performance improvement activities across all patient‑care departments.
• Lead multidisciplinary projects, facilitate dashboard reviews, data analysis and decision‑making.
• Report medical errors/near‑misses and oversee corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering or related field, OR five years of relevant experience.
• At least one year of experience in safety, quality, patient experience, accreditation, risk, clinical or continuous improvement.
• Ability to communicate accurately, work stationary for extended periods, and handle physical records or computer equipment.

Required skills

• Lean, Six Sigma or other process‑improvement methodologies (preferred).
• Certifications such as Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Infection Control (CIC) or Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) are preferred.
