About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital as a New Graduate RN Resident in the Emergency Department. This night‑shift position provides hands‑on patient care in a 22‑bed, 24/7 emergency unit serving over 35,000 patients annually.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care from patient admission through discharge, collaborating with a success coach.
• Participate in the one‑year accredited Nurse Residency curriculum, including online modules, simulation labs, and hands‑on training.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.
• Document care accurately in patient medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire.
• New graduate or less than one year of RN experience, or RN transitioning to acute inpatient care with less than one year of direct patient care experience.
