Registered Nurse – Pre‑Op/PACU

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, a Magnet‑recognized facility, and provide care in its Surgery Center. As a Registered Nurse you will care for patients in the pre‑ and post‑anesthesia care units, performing assessments, vital signs, IV insertion and medication administration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pre‑op and PACU patients.
• Implement, monitor and update patient care plans.
• Record and communicate patients’ conditions and vital signs.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders, including medication administration.
• Assess and coordinate discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families, respecting cultural considerations.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
