SEO/AEO Strategist

About the role

BetterHelp is seeking an SEO/AEO Strategist to lead organic growth across its priority international markets. You will work at the intersection of technical strategy, content, and editorial to drive qualified user acquisition for a global mental‑health brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO and AEO strategies that improve visibility in traditional search engines and AI‑powered search experiences.
• Own large‑scale AI‑assisted content refresh initiatives across the U.S. content portfolio.
• Identify, prioritize, and optimize high‑impact content opportunities based on search demand, business goals, and conversion potential.
• Ensure refreshed content aligns with E‑E‑A‑T principles and delivers authoritative answers.
• Stay current on algorithm updates, AI search developments, and industry best practices, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Serve as primary owner of SEO/AEO performance reporting, creating dashboards and summaries for leadership.
• Monitor rankings, traffic, conversions, visibility, engagement, and AI search performance, measuring impact of optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing international SEO/AEO programs, preferably in regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of both traditional search and emerging answer‑engine landscapes (AI Overviews, LLMs, etc.).
• Ability to work across Spanish, French, Dutch, and German markets.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience building performance dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders.
