Senior/Staff Product Engineer

About the role

Runway is building AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools that merge art and science. As a Senior/Staff Product Engineer you will help design and deliver cutting‑edge, full‑stack product features that leverage the latest generative AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Create rich multimedia interfaces using state‑of‑the‑art AI video generation models such as Gen‑4.5 and Aleph 2.0.
• Build end‑to‑end full‑stack AI‑powered features, including frontend experiences and backend services, APIs, and server‑side processes.
• Design and implement LLM‑powered conversational interfaces and other AI‑driven product capabilities.
• Collaborate with a world‑class engineering team to push the boundaries of creativity and content creation in the browser.
• Improve performance, reliability, and code quality across the codebase.

Required profile

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably full‑stack.
• Demonstrated fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript and ability to prototype rapidly under tight product deadlines.
• Experience integrating third‑party AI APIs and building production‑ready systems.
• Humility, open‑mindedness, and a collaborative mindset.
