Senior Windows Systems Administrator

About the role

MANTECH seeks a skilled Senior Windows Systems Administrator to support national security initiatives in Chantilly, VA. You will maintain and enhance the sponsor’s Windows environment within a collaborative Big Data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Research, diagnose, and resolve Windows operating system problems in line with organizational standards.
• Build, harden, and manage Windows servers, establishing configuration baselines.
• Apply security and firmware patches promptly and support patch‑management strategies.
• Test, install, integrate, and maintain new or updated operating systems and hardware.
• Manage the lifecycle of Windows operating systems and document configurations and processes.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant Windows systems experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and Centrify for domain management.
• Proficiency applying security patches in enterprise environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 administration

• PowerShell or VB scripting
• Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Access Control Service (ACS)
• Microsoft Exchange, Outlook
• Symantec and McAfee antivirus solutions
• LAN, SAN, TCP/IP, Cisco networking
• VMware 5+ and VCP certification (preferred)
• MCSE or MCITP certifications (preferred)
