Cyber Security Analyst – RMF Specialist

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to support defense‑related systems in Virginia Beach, VA. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution, system security planning, and continuous monitoring for DoD and Navy environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute RMF activities, including system categorization, security control selection, and tailoring workshops.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), policies, Contingency and Incident Response Plans, and POA&M entries in eMASS.
• Implement and test security controls using DISA STIGs, ACAS/Nessus scans, and NIST SP 800‑53A assessment procedures.
• Conduct continuous monitoring, monthly vulnerability scans, and annual security reviews, updating documentation as needed.
• Provide expert guidance on RMF compliance, risk management, and emerging threats to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 2 years of direct RMF experience.
• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Required skills

• RMF process knowledge and NIST SP 800‑53 Revision 5.
• Experience with eMASS, ACAS/Nessus, and DISA STIGs.
• Security control selection, tailoring, and documentation.
• Risk assessment and POA&M management.
