IT Technician

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide advanced technical support for its maritime autonomy platforms. You will maintain the health of the company’s IT infrastructure, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support hardware, software, and network devices including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical incidents promptly.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections.
• Perform routine system maintenance such as updates, security patches, and backups.
• Administer Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud‑based services.
• Mentor Tier 1 technicians and document tickets in the helpdesk system.
• Collaborate on migrations, system upgrades, and complex projects.
• Enforce security best practices, data protection, and access controls.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of technical support or similar IT experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
