Entry Level C# Software Engineer

About the role

CACI is looking for an entry-level C# Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain software tools that keep aircraft safe and operational. The work supports the Navy's F/A-18 fleet readiness by improving maintenance detection software and anomaly detection algorithms. The role involves travel to NAVAIR Oceana for software deployment and troubleshooting, and candidates must live in the greater Virginia Beach area.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications for aircraft maintenance detection and reporting.
• Build responsive front-end interfaces and contribute to back-end integration and API development.
• Work in a cross-functional Agile team, taking part in stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Build robust C# backend services that handle large datasets.
• Test and debug software thoroughly, fixing issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Write clean, efficient and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of job experience.
• Resides in the greater Virginia Beach area.
• US citizen, able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; active DoD Secret clearance is desired.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and attention to detail, able to work independently and in teams.

Required skills

• C#.NET and Python
• Desired: Oracle databases, Linux, SQL, CompTIA Security+ certification
