Implementation Specialist I - Payroll Tax

About the role

Asure Software is looking for an Implementation Specialist I to bring a builder mindset to client configurations of its payroll tax product. The role leads training, defines client requirements, executes configurations, validates outcomes through testing and owns implementation results from kickoff through stabilization. It is a hybrid position based in either Nashville, TN or Virginia Beach, VA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client implementations, building accurate configurations and delivering successful outcomes.
• Deliver group presentations and training sessions so clients can confidently use and maintain the software.
• Own all stages of implementation projects: discovery of requirements, configuration of the Asure tax solution, delivery of training, deployment and support for the first two successful payrolls.
• Provide status reports and project updates to the project team and resolve project hurdles through coordination with clients and internal teams.
• Ensure client product and Asure procedure adoption and leave every customer satisfied enough to provide a reference.

Required profile

• 3+ years supporting clients with US payroll and/or tax processing.
• 2+ years of success in a dedicated account ownership service model.
• Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws and payroll principles.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and organizational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• CPP, FPC, PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
