Senior Vice President, Finance – Los Angeles

About the role

The Senior Vice President, Finance for LA Productions leads the finance function for BBC Studios' Los Angeles operation, covering both unscripted and scripted entertainment businesses. The role provides strategic financial leadership and insight to support the growth of high‑profile series and new formats.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner to LA Production leadership, advising on strategy, operational decisions, and financial trade‑offs.
• Lead production economics and deal evaluation, working with Production Management and Business & Legal Affairs to ensure commercially sound and compliant decisions.
• Maintain cost discipline across shows by overseeing budgeting, cost tracking, cash‑flow management, and forecasting throughout each production lifecycle.
• Support new business initiatives with commercial analysis, financial modelling, and strategic guidance on revenue streams and partnership opportunities.
• Oversee tax‑incentive and production‑services frameworks in partnership with the VP of Production Finance.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level finance experience within media or entertainment production.
• Proven ability to partner with creative and production teams to drive financial discipline.
• Strong analytical skills for deal evaluation, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience managing tax incentives and production‑service financial structures.
