Senior Vice President Business Development - Casualty

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Senior Vice President of Business Development for its Casualty line. The role is a key senior leader responsible for driving organizational growth, expanding market presence and developing long-term strategic partnerships. It leads part of the business development function, identifies high-value opportunities and works with senior leadership to execute the company's growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the business development strategy, evaluating market trends and emerging opportunities
• Partner with the executive team to set revenue goals, growth targets and priorities
• Identify and secure new business, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions, and oversee the pipeline
• Expand the company's footprint in existing and new markets through stakeholder relationships
• Cultivate executive-level relationships with clients, partners, investors and external organizations
• Represent the company at industry events and negotiate high-impact contracts and partnerships
• Lead and develop the business development team, foster cross-functional collaboration and set performance metrics
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, risk management or a related field, from an accredited institution preferred
• Possession of, or progress towards, CPCU and/or ARM designation required
• 10+ years of related experience, including relationship building in claims management or risk management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven track record of leading large-scale growth initiatives and securing high-value partnerships
• Executive senior leadership experience in a complex, high-growth or multi-unit organization
