Senior Technical Project Manager

About the role

SBS, a global fintech partner of 74Software, is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager for its Specialized Finance services. The role is fully remote and open only to U.S.-based candidates. You will own client relationships end-to-end and deliver cloud migrations, software upgrades and implementations, working closely with the Product organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the client relationship across the full delivery lifecycle, from engagement through go-live and into steady state
• Lead and deliver technology projects covering cloud migrations, software upgrades and implementations
• Manage multiple projects at once
• Work directly with clients to scope, plan and deliver solutions, and act as the first point of contact when things go wrong
• Manage risks, budget, scope and timeline with accountability for outcomes
• Collaborate with Product to use standard, product-led solutions and balance client asks against the long-term relationship and product roadmap
• Lead joint steering committees and help identify ways to improve project management practices
• Support pre-sales activities such as RFI/RFP, proposals and statements of work when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of project management and delivery experience in the IT sector
• Proven experience delivering external client projects in a supplier/vendor environment and owning a client relationship through complex delivery
• Strong stakeholder and executive-level communication, especially in escalations and difficult conversations
• Ability to travel and work at customer sites when required
• Financial services or regulatory environment experience is a plus

Required skills

• Knowledge of cloud migrations, software upgrades and implementations
• Escalation management and resolution of delivery challenges
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) preferred
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
